The Coffee Choir is a group of up to 50 ladies, united by their love of singing and companionship. They perform a wide range of music from folk songs to jazz, via show tunes. At Christmas time the village hall where they rehearse rings to the sound of carols and festive songs, accompanied by a mince pie or two. The Coffee Choir ladies rehearse from music, usually in 3 parts, but there is a wide range of experience, from confident readers to those who have never read music before. The ladies often make visits to sing for local groups, such as the Wilton Stroke Club. The Coffee Choir meets every Tuesday morning in term time, at the Radnor Hall in Bodenham, on the A338 just south of Salisbury. They meet for coffee from 10am and sing from 10.30 till 11.45. Subs are either £7 per week paid half termly in advance, or £8 per week pay as you sing. For more information on joining the choir or to invite The Coffee Choir to sing for you, please contact Kate |
I have been with the choir since it started. Each week I look forward to seeing friends and catching up over a cup of coffee and I find our sessions great fun, good for the soul and I always come away feeling energised!!!
I can't imagine life without music (I learned to play the piano at the age of 54) and have always loved singing.
Thanks Kate for taking us on!!!!

I have never sung in a choir before, it is great fun and I always come away after a rehearsal feeling uplifted. Kate's enthusiasm, expertise, variety of songs combined with her good humour make us all feel we can make a great sound. The chance to sing in public in front of an audience has been a new experience too. I recommend coming along to her choir.

Our Tuesday morning choir sessions are better than therapy. I enjoy the singing and camaraderie and come away feeling uplifted, relaxed and happy with the world.

What MY CHOIR MEMBERS Are Saying"Joining a choir is a fantastic thing to do. As well as meeting new people, the very act of singing with others lifts the soul, and provides a sense of community and wellbeing which cannot be underestimated. Under Kate's fantastic leadership, we laugh, sing, and occasionally hit the right notes! I can't recommend it highly enough!" |
