Amici is a friendly choir of up to 80 ladies, who enjoy performing a wide variety of music, from Gershwin to ABBA, Rutter to The Beatles. Amici particularly enjoy the run up to Christmas, when they get into the festive spirit with carols and Christmas songs from Away in a Manger to White Christmas.
Amici rehearse from music, usually in 3 parts, but there is a wide range of experience, from confident readers to those who have never read music before.
Amici are active fundraisers for Cancer Research UK and have performed in a wide variety of venues. In September 2016 they sang with Russell Watson at Salisbury City Hall, and in 2018 sang with the acclaimed tenor trio, Blake, at Salisbury Playhouse.
Amici meets every Monday evening in term time, at St Martin's Primary School, off Shady Bower. There is no termly subscription:- payments are either £8 per half term payable in advance, or £9 pay as you sing.
